The Cottages at Boldheart Farms is not only a luxury bed and breakfast in Central Texas, you can also enjoy a genuine Farm Stay Texas experience with us! But what, you ask, is a Farm Stay?
It’s pretty simple: we are an actual working farm and we offer our guests the opportunity to interact with down to earth Farm Life. Simple as collecting eggs to learning to drive a tractor or befriend a horse.
Just over 28 acres, the animals, grounds, gardens, fields, trees all require maintenance and full time care.
We share basic equine care and safe ground handling, feeding and maintenance the natural way. (We do not offer riding.) Our gorgeous Arabian horses are treated to Natural methods which are respectful, safe and fun for you/us and Bag of Donuts…my favorite mare.
Collecting eggs and care and feeding of our feathered flocks, everyday it is an Easter Egg hunt. I can hear the hens scheming to hide their little treasures.
Gardens are always in transition and Texas can be harsh. What we plant and why, rose care as well as Iris, herbs and vegetables. We love our Gardens and enjoy sharing the tomatoes…our seasonal specialty, jalapenos and herbs and Eggs from our free range birds. So it followed that joining the Farm Stay movement made sense! There is a lot to do on a farm and it can be quite healing and cathartic after the hectic city life.
In the spring and early summer the Blue Bonnets and Wildflowers take over the fields and provide fabulous photo ops. Wander and search for the elusive White Blue Bonnets – we are honored to have a few in our fields. Please, no picking the whites, we want them to go to seed. Feel free to take an armful of the Blue’s to dress up your Cottage! I have lots of flower vases for just such an extravagance.
Having a Farm and animals is a labor of love, and we do love it all and look forward to sharing with you OR…you can always just kick back and enjoy the luxury part of your stay at The Cottages at Boldheart Farms Bed and Breakfast in the Heart of Central Texas.
Miss Maggie will be in the kitchen if she is not in the Garden, give her a call. Y’all book your Farm Stay today, and start enjoying a little dirt under your feet.
